Our branch officers, Pauline Stanley (International Officer) and Carol Marsh (Welfare Officer), have organised a collection for victims of the war in Ukraine.
If you would like to contribute, collection points are:
- Charters Restaurant at Royal Preston Hospital
- Education Centre 3 at Chorley Hospital
- X-Ray at Chorley Hospital.
Items that are accepted include:
- Clothing
- Footwear
- Bedding
- Toiletries
- Sleeping Bags
- Cooking pots and pans
- Dried food (with at least a year’s ‘best before’ date)
- Children’s toys.
All collected items will be donated to The International Aid Trust. (Read more about the charity here – International Aid Trust)
We would like to extend a big thankyou to Pauline and Carol for their hard work organising the collection. The image above shows just some of what has been collected from colleagues at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
Thanks also to all those who have donated so far, including some of our prize winners at the 2022 branch AGM, who chose to donate their shopping vouchers to the cause, which enabled the purchase of additional items for the collection (image below).
