The Central Lancashire Health Branch is starting up a Self Organised Group for Members With a Disability.
Disability Self Organised Group (SOG). This is to give members with disabilities an opportunity to discuss issues about common workplace issues. Prejudice and discrimination seems to be deep routed within our society, so by getting together and sharing problems that may be affecting you, we can get a better understanding of the issues, which may also be affecting others and address them head on.
Definition of Disability? If you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’(more than 12 months) negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.
